Shasta(right) and Viren(left) are high school students from Lynbrook and Cupertino High, respectively, and share a long-standing passion for engineering and technology. From the early ages of elementary school, they immersed themselves in STEM classes and had a reveling time learning how exciting engineering could be. As they entered high school, the two realized that when taught with an engaging curriculum and knowledgeable teachers, STEM camps had the potential of being inspirational. After attending a multitude of exceptional engineering camps around the Bay Area, Shasta and Viren decided to start a camp of their own to educate, and hopefully spark a love for engineering in kids. In the summer of 2018, they started the business Beginner Java to provide kids interested in computer science with a concise yet comprehensive course in Java. While looking for options on how to continue their business after they graduated high school, Sameer and Tyler ― the former owner of Future Engineers ― saw the tremendous success of Beginner Java, they decided to hand over Future Engineers to Shasta and Viren. Today, Shasta and Viren continue Future Engineers with the goal of spreading an immersive and engaging education in engineering and technology to kids throughout the Bay Area.
In 2013, our team of high schoolers set out with a single mission: to provide students with high-energy, personalized, and hands-on technology education in a summer camp setting. For the last four years, Future Engineers Camp has been making STEM exciting with concepts that are applicable to the real world. Since our formation, we’ve spread our love for robotics and computer science to hundreds of students and families across Silicon Valley. Now, we are on the way to inspiring countless students and giving them an early edge in technology!
Through our personal passion for Engineering, we’ve found it invaluable to understand and apply concepts in both mechanical and software engineering. We believe that an early start to STEM learning can lead to a bright future in engineering. Now we want to share our interest with other kids and help them become passionate engineers themselves, all while having tons of fun. We believe everyone should have an opportunity to explore STEM fields, and our camp is a great place to do so. Our teachers follow a student-centered approach to learning and we sustain a 1:3 teacher to student ratio!
Here at Future Engineers Camp, we believe that all students should have access to a STEM education. We are always looking passionate individuals dedicated to furthering our mission! Contact us if you would like to work or partner with us! To apply to teach at our classes, please fill out this form:
